🐈 Meet Billy and Tom - the Heart of Nine Lives Tribe

Nine Lives Tribe was born out of a love for cats - especially two in particular: Billy and Tom.

Through my volunteer work with Project Underdog Rescue, I began fostering them after they were pulled from a heartbreaking situation. At first, it was only meant to be for a few days. But there wasn’t another foster carer available who could take both of them together and after 14 years side by side, separating them simply wasn’t an option. They were completely inseparable, deeply bonded, and something about them felt different.

So I offered to keep them “just a little longer.”

Then we got the news: Billy had cancer. He wasn’t expected to live more than a few weeks. My partner and I didn’t want Tom to lose his brother and be thrown into a brand-new home alone. So we made a decision, we officially adopted Tom and continued fostering Billy, hoping to give them a peaceful final few weeks together.

That was nearly two years ago.

Today, Billy is still here. Still bossy. Still thriving. And still curled up next to Tom every night.

Their story of resilience, love, and second chances became the beating heart behind Nine Lives Tribe - a brand that celebrates cats in all their floofy, chaotic, soulful glory.
